These are the steps for the mag to fit the G3/1 adapter
Step one.

Cut the duckbill off leaving about 10-12mm of “tab”. Make a straight cut from top to bottom leaving all the tabs in place.

Step two.

Cut the rib out between the 2nd and 3rd tab.

Step three.

Cut off the remaining tabs so your mag looks like the one above. This is an early mag mod, so, do NOT cut into the body of the mag. Cut flush against the mag body.

Step four.

Clean up any “slag” on the tabs. Shape the tabs by rounding the edges slightly. You can angle the bottom tab in towards the mag body if you like. The pic above does not show that.

How To Modify/Fit The Tapco Magazines to the G5

 Step one.

Cut the duckbill off leaving about 10mm of "tab". Make a straight cut from top to bottom leaving all the tabs in place. Do NOT cut into the mag body as above. This is an early mag conversion. The finished tab will be between 5-7.5mm long. That’s pretty short. Start at 10mm and work your way down with a file.

 Step two.

Cut the rib out between the 2nd and 3rd tab.

Step three.

Cut off the remaining tabs so your mag looks like the one above. This is an early mag mod, so, do NOT cut into the body of the mag. Cut flush against the mag body.

 Step four.

Clean up any "slag" on the tabs and body with a Dremel, file, Utility knife, etc. Shape the tabs by rounding the edges slightly. You should angle the bottom tab in towards toward the mag body at a 45 degree angle. This helps with the lock process.

 Step five.

Cut a 45 degree angle on the front of the follower so that it stops just above the front mag lip. Be careful not to cut to deep into the follower.
