G1/1 Original SKS Rifle Magazine Adapter
(This part has been replaced by the G3, G5 & G9 Adapters listed below - SCROLL DOWN)

This is the original G1 adapter. It was produced in two versions. One was .72 inches wide and was intended for use with the polymer stocks, specifically, the Tapco T6. The other was .66 inches wide and was made for the original wood stocks. Each of these were held in position by a tab on the front that locked under the original front locking point on the barrel (trunion) and a 1/8" steel cross pin through the stock.

We developed the G3/1 because a lot of potential customers refused to permanently modify their rifle or stock. They requested we come up with something they could use without making any VISIBLE changes to their stock. The G3/1 is just the ticket for doing that. We devised a "tail piece" that holds the adapter tight under the front mag tab (trunnion) on the barrel. The only modification to the stock is a very slight removal of some wood or polymer where the locking piece contacts the stock on the INSIDE. You may need to relieve the mag well also if the magazine is binding. It will be shipped "matte black", anodized, aircraft aluminum, with the socket head screw and wrench necessary to install it. The adapter WILL FIT ANY SKS type stock. It is a "drop-in" fit for your stock. It does not use the original cross pin of the G1/1. The locking piece has an added feature that allows use of your cleaning rod to lock in the rifle just like the original rifles configuration system does .

Originally designed specifically for the Shernic Gun Works (SGW) BullPup stock. HOWEVER, IT WILL WORK with ANY SKS that accepts the duckbill mags, using ANY SKS Rifle stock combination. It uses a spring loaded "piston/plunger" system, that compresses into the adapter body to allow for clearance of the magazine tab. It's design is to allow for straight up/in insertion and removal of the Tapco 20's or ProMag 20/30's and Archangel modified mags. No rock -n- lock is necessary. Your previously modified mags will work with this adapter. The locking piece has an added feature that allows use of your cleaning rod to lock in the rifle just like the original rifles configuration system does .

This is our newest adapter offering for the SKS Rifle System. It is designed to use only ASC, 5, 10, 20 or 30 round, modified 7.62x39 AR 15 style magazines. Over 4 1/2 years in development, this adapter system turns your SKS carbine into a 21st Century battle carbine. It is made from aircraft grade aluminum, anodized black. It will be shipped fully assembled and ready for fitting to your specific SKS rifle. Please note:

1) Trigger Modification - Some minor modifications to your trigger assembly will be required for the mags to properly fit.

2) Rifle Stock Modification - You will need to open your stock magazine well for the adapter system to properly fit into the stock.

3) We recommend you do the "Drop Free Bolt Modification" as well.

PLEASE NOTE, due to the various manufacturing tolerances of the SKS rifle platform, numerous Countries of Production, and in various conditions due to Age, Use & Abuse each G9 adapter MUST be fitted to each of your specific SKS Rifles.
